How to explain a Plant Manager to your child

A plant manager runs a factory—a big building where people and machines work together to make things like toys, food, cars, or medicine. Every day they walk through the factory floor checking that the machines are running smoothly, talking to workers about how the day is going, and looking at numbers on their computer or clipboard to see how much was made and how much it cost. If a machine breaks or a shipment of materials arrives late, the plant manager figures out how to keep everyone working and fix the problem fast.

This job matters because it keeps the factory safe and running well, so the people who work there can do their jobs and go home healthy every day.
