How to explain a University Professor to your child

A university professor who teaches education spends their day working with college students who want to become teachers. They stand in front of classrooms, lead discussions about how kids learn, and show future teachers how to plan lessons, ask good questions, and help students who are struggling. They read students' papers, meet with them one-on-one to talk about their ideas, and visit them when they practice teaching in real schools. This work matters because every teacher your child will ever have learned how to teach from someone.
